Job Title: FAA Certificated A&P Mechanic
Department: Maintenance
Location: Bemidji, MN
Reports To: Lead Mechanic and Director of Maintenance
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay: Starting at $22.00/hr and based on experience and additional certificates/licensures

Job Summary: A&P Mechanics maintain our fleet of: Fairchild Metroliners, Beech Queenairs, and Beech 99s
Essential Functions:
· Inspect, test, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service aircraft for approval to return to service.
· Perform alterations of airframes, powerplants, systems, and components, following approved technical data and industry standard techniques.
· Perform overhaul of powerplants and various components such as magnetos and landing gear.
· Perform operational and run-up checks after maintenance is performed to ensure proper operation.
· Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using calibrated tools, gauges, and test equipment.
· Make logbook entries and fill out required paperwork to document performed work.
· Read, research and interpret aircraft technical data using a computer or paper manual.
· Maintain work area, tools and vehicles in clean and safe condition
· Ensure that safety, regulatory and company requirements are met.
A&P Mechanic Job Qualifications:
· FAA airframe and powerplant certificate(s)
· Have 3-5 years of experience preferred
· Must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals.
· Must be able to document maintenance performed on required forms
· Must have knowledge of industry standard techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in general aviation aircraft maintenance and alteration.
· Must know how to use approved technical data such as wiring diagrams, drawings, maintenance manuals, etc. to perform maintenance and alterations on general aviation aircraft in accordance with approved data.
· Must own their own set of tools. Minimum tool list will be provided upon request.
· Must pass a pre-employment DOT Drug testing
· Must be able to pass a security background check
· Be authorized to work in the USA
· Live within 30 minutes of Bemidji, MN.
· Must have a valid driver’s license
Desired Education and Experience: Fairchild Metroliner, Beech 1900, 99, King/Queen Air, or similar type aircraft.
Environment: Indoor shop environment subject to frequent interruptions such as hangar doors opening and closing for moving aircraft. Occasional working outside to do line maintenance will be required, changing priorities from time to time.
Physical Demands: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of industry standard equipment. Reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, and walking will be required. Clarity of vision at varying distances. Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner. Must meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds. All above items with or without accommodation.

Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Summary: The Avionics Technician partners with the maintenance department through troubleshooting and installing of electrical components in the company aircraft.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate with pilots and other maintenance staff to troubleshoot line maintenance issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair all Avionics equipment.
- Effectively troubleshoot and repair all electrical systems on aircraft.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety while performing maintenance in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, FAA regulations and Bemidji Aviation Maintenance Manual(s).
- Ensure required entries are made in the aircraft logbooks, and all other records are filled out and delivered to the Records Department.
- Ensure that Bemidji Aviation owned test equipment and tools are maintained properly and that the job site is clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.
Avionics Technician Job Qualifications:
- Experience with avionics line maintenance and troubleshooting of avionics equipment from various manufacturers including Garmin, Bendix King, and S-TEC autopilots.
- Experience with wire harness fabrications.
- Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and install manuals.
- Must be knowledgeable with and capable of using associated hand tools and diagnostic equipment (i.e. multi-meter and shop test equipment).

Work Environment: This job operates approximately 95% of the time inside a climate-controlled building and approximately 5% of the time outside in all types of weather.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position with an expectation of occasional evening and weekend hours as job duties demand and travel to all maintenance bases for training of Repairmen.
Travel: Some travel will be expected with this position (E.G., off-site training, Maintenance personnel occasionally travel via ground transportation or by flying to remote locations to work on aircraft, etc.).
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience in Part 145 or Part 135.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
- Must have enough experience to be recommended and obtain a FAA Repairman Certificate.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to obtain an MSP airport SIDA badge (be able pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209) and able to read blueprint and electrical schematics required.
